Short Bio of Prof. Ian Holman
Prof. Ian Holman is a Professor of Integrated Land and Water Management, Cranfield University, UK. Professor Holman's research focusses on understanding the effects of interactions between land management, soil properties and weather on soil degradation, agricultural yields and hydrological response, under current and future conditions. Professor Holman, through his research, brings interdisciplinary hydrogeological and spatial pedology expertise to sustainable water resource management and climate change impacts and adaptation research for a range of Governmental, non-governmental and commercial organizations. He is the Cranfield Principal Investigator (PI) on a number of major UK government and European Commission funded projects relating to water and land resources. Professor Holman was the Co-Chairman of the International Association of Hydrogeologists' Commission on Climate Change and Groundwater during 2003-2011.
