IIEST, Shibpur Triumphs at Tempfest Volleyball Tournament

The Volleyball team of Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur, achieved a remarkable victory at Tempfest, a four-day inter-university sports event hosted by Indian Maritime University, Kolkata, from February 16th to 20th, 2026. The tournament featured various sports, including Volleyball, Basketball, Badminton, and Cricket.

The IIEST Men's Volleyball team clinched the championship title, defeating the host team, the Marines, in a thrilling final match with a score of 3-2. The individual brilliance of the team was also recognized, with Sudipta being named the Best Libero and Anurag the Best Setter of the tournament. The team's path to the finals was a winning sweep, securing victories in all three league matches and the subsequent semi-final.
