Atanu Banerjee

About


Dr. Atanu Banerjee was born in Asansol, West Bengal, India. He did his class 10th & 12th from schools in Asansol only. He received his B.E degree  from Nagpur University in the year of 2001 and M.E degree in 2008 from Bengal Engineering & Science University, Shibpur (Now IIEST, Shibpur). He has completed his Ph.D from IIT (ISM), Dhanbad, India in 2013. He worked in industries for almost three years & has academic experience of more than 20 years. Dr. Banerjee served Asansol Engg. College for more than 10 years & NIT Meghalaya for more than 09 years. Presently he is in IIEST, Shibpur as an Associate Professor in the Electrical Engg. Department. His research interests include electric vehicle technology, renewable energy integration & control, induction heating and high frequency switching in power electronic converters, adjustable speed drives etc.  He has published few books & several journal/conference research papers. Also Dr. Banerjee is granted five patents from Govt. of India. He secured four sponsored projects from Govt. of India & performed many consultancy projects. Dr. Banerjee successfully supervised three Ph.D & 12 M-Tech projects. Currently he is guiding seven research scholars of Ph.D.
