Dr. Sangita Deb Barman has graduated in Civil Engineering from NIT Agartala (2010) and completed M.Tech. in Water Resources Engineering from NIT Silchar (2012) and Ph.D. (2017) in Civil Engineering from NIT Meghalaya. Dr. Deb Barman served as Assistant Professor (Temporary) in the Department of Civil Engg., NIT Sikkim from 2017-2020, before joining as Temporary Faculty in the Department of Civil Engineering at Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur in November 2020 (Formerly, Bengal Engineering and Science University, Shibpur). Her primary research interests include Water Resources Engineering, Flood Modeling, Soil Erosion, Remote Sensing and GIS techniques and Water Resources Management.
