Suchismita Nayak

About


Ms. Suchismita Nayak is an architect, urban and transportation planner. She graduated with first-class honours in Bachelor of Architecture from Indian Institute of Engineering, Science and Technology, Shibpur in 2015. She went on to obtain her Masters in Planning with specialization in Urban Planning from School of Planning and Architecture Delhi, where she achieved first class with distinction in 2017. Currently, she is in her final year of doctoral research on activity-based travel demand modelling at IIT Kharagpur.She has joined as Temporary Faculty in the Department of Architecture and Planning at Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur in January 2023. 

She was awarded prestigious IIT KGP US Foundation Fellowship to conduct international research internship at School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment (SSEBE), one of the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering and TOMNET University Transportation Center at Arizona State University (ASU), US. She was also awarded research fellowships from the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, from 2015 to 2022 during post-graduation and PhD.
