I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur. I hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur (2021), where I also completed my M.Sc. in Mathematics in 2015. I earned my B.Sc. in Mathematics from Jogamaya Devi College, University of Calcutta in 2013. I qualified the Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. (JAM 2013) with an All India Rank of 100 and the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2015) with an All India Rank of 67. My academic journey reflects a strong foundation in Mathematics, and a commitment to rigorous research.

Work Experience:

  1. Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur from August 2025 till present.
  2. Post Doctoral Fellow at National Law University Meghalaya from June 2024 till June 2025.
  3. Assistant Professor at Institute of Technical Education and Research, Siksha 'O' Anusandhan (Deemed to be University) from May 2021 till June 2024.

Research Statement


My research interests lie in the areas of inventory modeling, supply chain management, and sustainable operations, with a strong focus on incorporating fuzzy set theory and uncertainty modeling into decision-making frameworks. I work on developing analytical and computational models for inventory systems under imprecise, dynamic, and sustainability-driven conditions, aiming to support more resilient and environmentally responsible supply-chain practices. Currently, I am motivated to work on multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) methods to address complex, real-world trade-offs in supply-chain and operational settings. I am also keen on mentoring young researchers, and am open to supervising Ph.D. students interested in these domains.
