I joined as an undergraduate student at Bengal Engineering College (Deemed University) in 2000 and graduated in 2004 with a B.E. in Metallurgical Engineering. After spending nearly ten years at IIT Kanpur, I returned to the Department of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering at IIEST Shibpur (formerly BESU) as a faculty member in 2013. During my stay in Kanpur, I incubated Cenogen Materials Pvt. Ltd., a start-up under the Government of India's Technopreneur Promotion Programme.
I like teaching and research in the area of Materials Engineering, with a particular emphasis on Product Development. Our group specializes in various materials engineering facets, including synthesis, characterization, and performance evaluation of advanced materials. Our prime research focus lies in developing innovative solutions through experimental techniques and computational tools in the area of Biomaterials.
