Dr. Manish Pal Chowdhury is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur (IIESTS). He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Physics from the University of Calcutta (Dinabandhu Andrews College and Rajabazar Science College, respectively) and then his Ph.D. from the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science in Kolkata. He further broadened his academic experience through post-doctoral research appointments at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology and at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium. His research expertise spans carbon-based and nanostructured materials, including carbon nanotubes, graphene, reduced graphene oxide (RGO), and related nanomaterials, with a strong focus on sensors, detectors, nanogenerators, and allied functional devices.
