How to Reach?

The campus is situated adjacent to the A.J.C. Bose Indian Botanic Garden. It is around 20 minutes away by car from the heart of the city and approximately 90 minutes drive from the airport. The Howrah Railway Station is about 5 kms away from the Institute. It takes only 10 minutes by car to reach the institute from the 2nd Hoogly Bridge.

By Air

Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport, Kolkata has direct air services from/to Mumbai, New Delhi and Chennai, Patna, Varanasi, and Lucknow with connectivity to all major cities in the country. Most of the domestic airlines have direct flights to and from Kolkata to other important cities of India. There are international flights connecting Kolkata to most of the countries in Southeast Asia. Air India, Jetlite, Spicejet, Indigo, Go Air operate regular flights to and from Kolkata. Getting to the IIEST, Shibpur from the airport (which may take around 90 minutes) at present costs about Rs. 350/- in a pre-paid taxi available from the airport. App Cabs service is also available from the airport to IIEST, Shibpur.

By Train

The Howrah Junction, more popularly known as the Howrah Railway Station, is the oldest and largest railway complex in India, serving the twin cities of Howrah and Kolkata. The Howrah Railway Station is about 5 kms away from IIEST Shibpur, and one can reach the institute within 20 minutes by car/ taxi/ other App Cabs. The pre-paid taxi fare from the station at present is Rs. 150/-.
