It is an honour to announce that IIEST, Shibpur college football team has emerged as the Champions in the football tournament, organised by IIT(ISM) Dhanbad, as a part of the PARAKRAM'23 event, which is one of the largest sports fest of India.

The IIEST football team displayed great teamwork, skill, and determination throughout the tournament, and their efforts paid off in the final game. The match was a close one, but the IIEST team held their nerves and showed great character and they defeated the host team of IIT(ISM), Dhanbad to clinch the win in the tiebreaker by a score line of 4-1.

The joint top scorers of the tournament, Swapnil Roy and Pritam Mandal, were instrumental in the team's success. Their impressive performances not only helped the team win crucial matches but also boosted the morale of the entire team. IIEST team defeated teams like IISER, Kolkata; NIT, Durgapur and IIT(ISM), Dhanbad to become champions.  

Congratulations to the Captain, Swapnil Roy (4th year, Aerospace Engineering) and the entire IIEST Football Team for their outstanding performance in the PARAKRAM'23 tournament, organised by IIT(ISM) Dhanbad. Their victory is a testament to their hard work, skill, and determination, and they have made their institution proud.
