    IIEST, Shibpur congratulates Prof. Syed Minhaz Hossain, Professor, Department of Physics, on receiving the Professor Babu Lal Saraf Award from the Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT).This prestigious honor commemorates Prof. Babulal Saraf, the legendary physicist and experimentalist who transformed science education in India. 

    The award was presented during the Inaugural Session of the 39th IAPT Convention held on 5th October 2025, in recognition of Prof. Hossain’s outstanding contributions to the field of Physics education in India.

    We extend our best wishes to Prof. Hossain for this remarkable achievement and for continuing to bring laurels to the Institute.
