I am currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering and Applied Mechanics at the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur, which I joined in August 2025. Prior to this, I worked as a Senior Engineer – Aircraft Structure at COMRADO Aerospace, ARTPARK, IISc Bengaluru, where I was involved in the structural design and analysis of drones and fixed-wing UAVs. Before that, I served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh.
I earned my Ph.D. from the Department of Aerospace Engineering at IIT Kharagpur, where I also completed my B.Tech+M.Tech (dual degree) in Aerospace Engineering. My doctoral research focused extensively on the nonlinear static and dynamic analysis of flat and folded composite structures, including studies on buckling and post-buckling behavior.

I plan to pursue cutting-edge research in structural mechanics, focusing on advanced composite materials, origami-inspired structures, metamaterials, and the integration of machine learning techniques in structural analysis. Building upon my expertise in static and dynamic analysis of composite structures, I aim to extend my work toward nonlinear and post-buckling behavior of both flat and folded geometries, under conventional as well as hygrothermal environments.
My research includes the development of higher-order shear deformation theories, investigation of functionally graded and CNT-reinforced composites, and application of finite element methods for origami and metamaterial structures. Additionally, I am exploring the use of deep learning for predicting structural responses, which offers significant promise in reducing computational cost while addressing complex physical behavior.
