Dr. Krishnendu Bhowmik is working as Assistant Professor in Department of Aerospace Engineering and Applied Mechanics, IIEST, Shibpur since October, 2013. Prof. Bhowmik received his Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIEST, Shibpur, Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, and Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering from IIEST, Shibpur. Prior joining IIEST, Shibpur, he was associated with Safran Aerospace India Pvt. Ltd. as Mechanical Engineer, WS ATKINS India Pvt. Ltd. as Aerospace Engineer, and Ansys, Inc. as Technology Specialist for more than six years. His research interests include Composite Structures, CNT reinforced Nanocomposites, Mechanical behavior of materials,  and Finite Element Analysis.
