Graduated in Electrical Engineeing from Jadavpur University in 1985 standing 7th in a class of 100+ students. Obtained the Post Graduate degree in Electrical Engineeing from Jadavpur University in 1987 with specialisation in Control Systems in 1987 standing 2nd in the class. Joined the Department of Electrical Engineering at the erstwhile B. E. College as a Lecturer in 1988.
