Suvarun Dalapati

About


Dr. Suvarun Dalapati specializes in the field of Power Electronics, Machine Drives, FACTS & HVDC Converters and Applications of Digital Control/Controllers in Electrical Applications. After his doctoral study, he has worked for nearly six years in industry, designing power electronic converters, inverters and battery-chargers for Indian Railways and high stability power supplies for some DAE Centers. In June 2013, he joined the faculty of Electrical Engineering at IIEST Shibpur.

Suvarun Dalapati is working in the following areas:

  • Microprocessor/Microcontroller based applications

At present his chief research interest is in the field of Power Electronic Converter - topologies and control, battery chargers and industrial inverters. He also takes interest in the field of applications of Power Electronic Converters in the area of Power Systems (FACTS and HVDC).
