Dr. Vineet Srivastava is placed in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences working as an Assistant Professor at IIEST, Shibpur. He teaches Economics to Undergraduate well as Post graduate students at the IIEST.
Prior to joining this Institute Dr. Srivastava was working as an Assistant Professor at K.S. College, Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga.
He was awarded West Bengal State Funded-Junior Research Fellowship and Senior Research Fellowship for pursuing his doctoral work. He has qualified the National Eligibility Test (2014) conducted by the University Grants Commission as well as the State Eligibility Test (2014) conducted by the WBCSC.

Dr. Srivastava is interested in pursuing research on financial integration; Consequences of changing payment habits of Indian consumers on the conduct of monetary policy by the RBI. He is also interested in understanding the sustainability problem of the Common-Pool Resources.
