Nirupam Ghosh began his academic journey by earning the B.Sc (honours) degree on Mathematics from Jadavpur University (2008 - 2011). He has obtained the M.Sc degree on Mathematics from IIT kanpur (2011 - 2013). He has complited his Ph.D degree from IIT Kharagpur (December, 2013 - September, 2019). Following the completion of his doctoral studies, he joined VNIT Nagpur as Adjunct Assistant Professor of Practice (July, 2019 - November, 2019). He was in Visiting Scientist position at Indian Statistical Institute Bangalore (November, 2019 - February, 2021) and continued there as a NBHM Post-doctoral fellow (March, 2021 - August, 2023). He has joined IIEST, Shibpur as an Assistant Professor (Level - 10/ Grade - II) in Department of Mathematics (August, 2023 - ).
- PhD Mathematics, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India (September, 2019).
Title of Thesis: Analytic and Geometric Characterizations of Certain Subclasses of Harmonic Fuctions.
- Master of Science (Mathematics), Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India (May, 2013).
- Bachelor of Science (Hons.), Jadavpur University, India (May, 2011).
- My principal area of research is Geometric Function Theory. I am primarily interested to study the complex valued harmonic functions on the unit disk. In this context, I introdued different subclasses of harmonic functions that have special geometric importance.
- I am also interested in Higher Dimension Harmonic Functions Theory and Harmonic Quasiconformal Extension.
- During my postdoc, I stared work in the direction of Operator Theory, specially in the direction of Composition Operators and Cesaro Operators on Hardy space.
