Dr. Kush Kumar Dewangan obtained his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.Tech) from Government Engineering College Bilaspur (C.G.), India, in 2010. Following that, he pursued and completed his M.Tech. in Thermal Engineering from NIT Rourkela India, in 2012. He obtained a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (Thermal) from the IIT Kharagpur, India. Ph.D.. After that I completed a national postdoctoral fellowship at IISc Bangalore (2022–2024), focusing on transient dynamics of bacteria laden liquid bridges, blood droplet evaporation and Evaporation and pathogenesis of levitated bacteria-laden surrogate respiratory fluid droplets. Joining the faculty of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at IIEST Shibpur in 2025, his primary research interests include Evaporation Dynamics of Liquid bridge, Multiphase flow (hydrodynamics, modeling), Thermo-hydraulic of natural circulation loop, CFD for multiphase flow, Phase transition, Fast cooling systems, Thermal behavior of polymer composite.
