About


Dr. Mukesh Kumar obtained his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.Tech) from UPTU Lucknow, India, in 2007. Following that, he pursued and completed his MTech in Thermal Engineering from DTU, formerly known as the Delhi College of Engineering (DCE), India, in 2003. In 2017, Dr. Kumar attained his Ph.D. in Thermal Engineering from IIT Roorkee, India. Joining the faculty of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at IIEST Shibpur in 2021, his primary research interests include IC Engine, Bioenergy and biofuels, Thermochemical conversion, and AI and Machine Learning. Driven by a passion for innovation, he actively engages in research and product development. As an educator, Dr. Kumar encourages students to approach courses with a sportive and innovative mindset, fostering an environment of active participation and learning.
