Dr. Ramanand Sagar Sangam received the PhD degree in RF & Microwave Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. His research work has been focused on RF, Microwaves, mm-Waves and THz. During his PhD, he has designed and implemented various microwave filters and other passive devices using tapered lines, spoof surface plasmon polariton (SSPP) and metamaterial-inspired structures on planar type of transmission lines like microstrip line and substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) for wireless communications (UWB, ISM band, X-band, V-band etc.). His M.Tech is in Microwaves from Burdwan University, during which he has studied and worked on high-frequency active and passive circuits. He has done one-year M.Tech research project on PCE-gun for plasma-assisted microwave sources at CSIR-Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute (CEERI), Pilani, Rajasthan.
He is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, IIEST, Shibpur. Before joining IIEST, he has worked as an Assistant Professor at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Coimbatore for two years and a Temporary Faculty for one and half year at NIT Karnataka Surathkal. He has published more than ten research papers in good reputed international journals and conferences. He has reviewed various research papers of international journals like IEEE Microwave and Wireless Components Letters, IEEE Open Journal of Antennas and Propagation, IET Microwaves, Antennas & Propagation, AEÜ – International Journal of Electronics and Communications, Physical Communication, etc. He has also been invited as a guest speaker for an FDP organized at VIT Vellore and also at some other institutions. He has volunteered in many social and academic events and also very enthusiastic in spirituality.
