Academic Laboratory Details

Communication Lab

Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering

The communication lab is primarily used by UG and PG students and research scholars for conducting experiments related analog and digital and wireless communications. Major equipment present in the lab are as follows: (i) Vector Signal Generators (9kHz to 3GHz) (ii) Signal Analyzers (9kHz to 3GHz) with VSA software. This pair of equipment is used for generation and detection of various RF signals used in our real life cellular communications and some other popular forms of wireless and wired communications. The scope of making myriad measurements at the Signal Analyzer helps interested students develop insight on communication technologies. Besides, the lab also hosts a standalone installation of NetSim®  software for  carrying simulation studies on routing protocols in multihop wireless networks.
