Title of the project: Synthesis of a novel sol-gel derived bioglass containing SrO

Description of the project: This project focuses on the synthesis and characterization of a novel Bioglass with enhanced crystallization temperature and controlled particle size The novel bioglass was then with the already existing bioglasses such as Bioglass 45S5. Several characterization techniques such as DSC, DLS, XRD, FTIR, TEM, and EDS to determine the properties of the newly developed sample. Overall, this project contributes to the advancement of Bioglass technology by introducing a novel approach to synthesis with improved crystallization temperature and controlled particle size. The incorporation of strontium oxide (SrO) is explored, highlighting its benefits in terms of enhanced bone formation, improved antibacterial properties, and increased mechanical strength. The findings of this research open up new possibilities for biomedical applications and pave the way for future investigations in the field of Bioglass development.
