Dr. Subhasis Bhaumik did B.E in Mechanical Engineering, M. E. and PhD in Production Engineering. He is currently working as Professor in the Dept. of Aerospace Engineering & Applied Mechanics, Indian Institute of Engineering Science & Technology (IIEST) Shibpur (An Institute of National Importance under MoE, Govt. of India). His research interest (both hardware and software development) includes Mechatronics, Robotics, Industrial Automation, Assistive Devices, Rural Technology and Innovative Product Development. He has guided PhD thesis, published research papers in SCI journals and carried out sponsored research projects. He is a Fellow of Institution of Engineers (I), Member of Association of Machines and Mechanism, Robotics Society of India and Expert Member, Rehabilitation Council of India. He is former Dean (Research & Consultancy), former Head of School of Mechatronics & Robotics, former Head of Dept. of Aerospace Engineering & Applied Mechanics, former President, Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) and former Zonal Vice President of Association of Machines and Mechanism. Dr. Bhaumik is presently acting as Dean (Planning & Development).
