Sujit Kumar Dalui

About


Dr. Sujit Kumar Dalui obtained BE (Civil Engineering) from Jadavpur University then M. Tech (Building Sc and Technology) and PhD (Structural Engineering) from IIT Roorkee. His area of research interest is wind effects on tall buildings especially in irregular plan shape both isolated and interference conditions, earthquake resistant structures and structural dynamics. He has published a large number of papers in peer-reviewed International Journals and  International/National Conference proceedings. He has guided five PhD students, several M. Tech, Dual Degree (DD) and B.Tech. Students. Currently, Eight PhD students are working under his supervision.

He is a member of the Indian Society for Wind Engineering (ISWE), Indian Society for Construction Materials and Structures (ISCMS) and The Institution of Engineers (India). He has completed one DST research project (DST-Fast Track). Recently (on 21.03.2022), Dr. Dalui has been awarded one research project entitled "Interference Effects on Irregular Plan Shape Tall Buildings under Wind Excitation"  funded by DST, GoWB. He is also involved in a large number of industrial consultancy projects like the design of tall buildings (both wind and earthquake analysis), water tanks, communication towers, bridges, etc.
