Research Area

Topic: Fluvial and Tectonic Geomorphology

The study of sedimentology, fluvial geomorphology, and tectonic geomorphology provides a fascinating area of research at the intersection of tectonic forces and Earth's surface processes. This multidisciplinary endeavor enables investigation into how tectonic events alter geological formations, affect sediment movement, and sculpt landscapes. This discipline may understand how river systems and sedimentary basins evolved by investigating the complex interactions between tectonic movements, river dynamics, and sediment deposition. This study also helps to guide resource exploitation, environmental management plans, and risk assessments in areas affected by tectonic and fluvial processes.
